Healthcare Analytics & Data Science

My career has grown because of the challenges I faced. I continue to seek roles where I can learn and improve myself, while lifting those around me and making everyone the best version of themselves. The full background and career history is below.

Background

From the classroom to the boardroom

My path here wasn't linear. I started as a high school math teacher before moving into actuarial work at Lockton in 2018, earning my ASA credential in 2022 while working a mixed actuarial and data science role. That eventually led to a role as Lead Data Scientist, building the quantitative foundation I still rely on today.

In May 2026, I stepped into a new challenge as Director of Account Management & Analytics Advisor at Smartlight Analytics, a healthcare payment integrity company, leading client strategy and analytics for large, sophisticated client accounts.

I'm based in Plano, TX, and I care about analytics that actually get used. Outside my core role, I build small tools and prototypes to sharpen that instinct further. See the projects page for a few examples.
